General Provisions in Installation

First of all, in the system of special gases, the stainless steel pipe must be welded with high-purity argon gas.

Also, the measuring instruments used for installation and testing shall be qualified and used within the validity period.

Special plans for construction must be prepared before the construction of special gas systems and implemented after approval by the owners.

The product certification, quality assurance, report of performance test and specifications of installation, use, maintenance and so on should be complete and checked carefully. What is more, the use of accessories and special tools should meet the requirements as well. Also, it is required that the inspection conclusion should be recorded.

The inspection certificate in Chinese of imported equipment and materials shall be submitted to the suppliers. In addition, technical documents such as methods and requirements of installation, use, maintenance should also be submitted.

The equipment and materials shall comply with the provisions of the standards. Once the inspection results do not meet the requirements, they shall not be used in the projects.

The technical personnel of the construction unit shall be present during the acceptance of equipment and materials and the identification of welding pieces.

Acceptance of Main Equipment and Materials

First of all, all of pipes, fittings and valves used should have independent inner packaging, and the ports should be equipped with dust caps as well.

Secondly, after inspection of pipes, the inner packaging and dust caps of fittings and valves must be restored.

Thirdly, the inspection for the appearance of the pipeline should be based on inspection of more than 5% of the total pipes. All of the size, wall thickness, roundness and flatness of the end of the pipes should meet the technical requirements of the product. What is more, there should be no scratches or spots on the internal and external surfaces in the pipes

Next, material inspection should be carried out with a metal analyzer. Each batch of each specification should be randomly checked for more than 5% , and the product for checking should be no less than 1 piece. What is also important is that the chemical composition of the pipes, valves and so on should meet the technical requirements of the product.

Finally, the roughness of internal surfaces of pipes and fittings should be inspected at both ends of the pipe by using the method of sample comparison. Each batch of each specification should be randomly checked for more than 5%. Also, the product for checking should be no less than 1 piece. If there is a failure, we should check more products in random checking.

Requirements in the Connection of Special Gas Pipeline

First of all, workers should wear clean clothes, clean masks and clean gloves in operations such as cutting, welding, and prefabrication in the clean room and they can touch the inner wall of the pipeline with bare hands.

Also, when cutting pipes, high-purity nitrogen should be introduced into the pipe and the outer wall of the pipe should not be damaged.
