1.Select corrosion-resistant materials according to the medium
Corrosion of the medium is very complicated. Even if the stainless steel valve material used in a medium is the same, the concentration, temperature and pressure of the medium are different, and the corrosion of the material by the medium is not the same. The correct selection of stainless steel valve materials should be based on the specific situation, analyze various factors affecting corrosion, and select materials according to the relevant anti-corrosion manual.
2.Use of non-metallic materials
Non-metal corrosion resistance is excellent. As long as the stainless steel valve's operating temperature and pressure meet the requirements of non-metal materials, it can not only solve the corrosion problem, but also save precious metals. With the advent of flexible graphite, non-metals have entered the high-temperature field, which has solved the problem of filler and gasket leakage that is difficult to solve for a long time, and it is a good high-temperature lubricant.
3.Brushing paint
Coating is the most widely used stainless steel valve anti-corrosion method, and it is an indispensable anti-corrosion material and identification mark on stainless steel valve products. The coating is usually made of synthetic resin, rubber slurry, vegetable oil, solvent, etc., covering the metal surface to isolate the medium and the atmosphere to achieve the purpose of anticorrosion. Coatings are mainly used in water, salt water, sea water, the atmosphere and other less corrosive environments.
4.Add corrosion inhibitor
Adding a small amount of other special substances to the corrosive medium and corrosive substances can greatly slow down the rate of metal corrosion. This special substance is called corrosion inhibitor. The mechanism by which the corrosion inhibitor controls corrosion is that it promotes the polarization of the battery. The corrosion inhibitor is mainly used in the medium and the filler.
5. Thermal spray
Thermal spraying is a type of process block for preparing coatings and has become one of the new technologies for surface protection of materials. Thermal spraying can improve its surface resistance to corrosion, abrasion and high temperature, and prolong its service life. Thermal spraying special functional coating, with special properties such as heat insulation, insulation (or conductive), sealing, self-lubrication, heat radiation and electromagnetic shielding. Parts can also be repaired using thermal spray.
6. Environmental Control
The atmosphere is full of dust, water vapor and smoke, especially in the production environment, toxic gases and dust emitted from chimneys and equipment, etc., will cause different degrees of corrosion to the stainless steel valve. The stainless steel valve should be cleaned and purged regularly, and regularly refueled as specified in the operating regulations. This is an effective measure to control environmental corrosion. Increased ambient temperature and air pollution will accelerate the corrosion of equipment and stainless steel valves in closed environments. Open-type workshops or ventilation and cooling measures should be used to reduce environmental corrosion.
