There are 5 numbers at the top of the water meter in digital type, of which means the unit. In the numbers, the first four numbers are black, which means the unit of tons, and the fifth number is red, which means the unit of several thousand tons. What is more, we can also see that there are also three pointers in red on the top of the water meter, which represent smaller unit. For example, the top pointer represents the unit of a few thousand tons of water and the middle pointer represents the unit of a few thousand tons. Finally, the last one means the unit of a few thousand tons.

The water meter with pointers is a kind of water meters, which is in old-fashioned type. It adopts the method of the decimal system in counting. In the water meter with the pointers, there are four indicators on the black dial which mean the units of one, ten, hundred, thousand.

The intelligent water meter is a new type of water meter in recent years. Also, there is a IC card in the intelligent water meter. The dial and the method to read the water meter are basically the same as those of the digital water meter. After all, as a type of water meter with IC card, we should charge the card to guarantee the normal working of the intelligent water meter when using it.

When using the water meter, we should pay attention to the clean surroundings of the water meter, and we should avoid the corrosion caused by acid and alkaline substances on the water meter. What is more, we should also ensure that the water meter is moisture-proof during the period.

Secondly, we can not place anything on top of the water meter. If we find there are any troubles in the water meter, we should ask the professional personnel to come for repair.

In winter, the water meter with low temperature is also easy to frost, which can result in inaccurate readings. Also, if the water meter is placed at the staircase or in a ventilated place, we should take measures to prevent the coldness from affecting the accuracy of the water meter.
